Cookie Policy
Effective date: [To be set on launch] · Last updated: June 2026
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how CitePulse, operated by GeoAI Solutions LLC (trading as GeoFlow) ("CitePulse", "we", "us"), uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on the CitePulse website. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Where required, "cookies" in this policy also covers local storage, session storage and comparable client-side storage.
2. Our privacy-first approach
CitePulse is deliberately built to be light on tracking. At the time of writing, the site does not set advertising cookies, does not use cross-site tracking, and does not sell or share personal data for behavioural advertising. We use only what is strictly necessary to operate the site, plus, where applicable, limited, privacy-respecting analytics for reliability and security.
3. What we currently use
| Name / type | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Currency preference (browser local storage) | Strictly necessary / functional | Remembers whether you chose USD or EUR pricing so the site shows the right currency. | Until cleared by you |
| Server & security logs | Strictly necessary | Standard request logs (e.g. IP address, user agent) handled by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) for security, abuse prevention and reliability. | Short retention; see Privacy Policy |
Strictly necessary cookies and equivalent storage do not require consent because they are essential to provide a service you have requested.
4. If analytics or other non-essential cookies are added
If, in the future, we introduce analytics or any other non-essential cookies (for example to understand aggregate usage), we will: (a) update the table above; (b) where required by the EU ePrivacy rules and the GDPR, request your prior consent through a clear consent mechanism before any non-essential cookie is set; and (c) ensure non-essential cookies are off by default until you opt in. You will be able to accept or reject non-essential categories and to change your choice at any time.
5. Consent approach and your choices
Because the site currently uses only strictly necessary storage and the user-chosen currency preference, we present a clear, lightweight notice rather than an intrusive consent wall. If and when non-essential cookies are introduced, a granular consent banner (accept / reject / manage) will be shown, accessible by keyboard and assistive technologies, with reject being as easy as accept.
You can also control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking strictly necessary storage may affect how parts of the site work (for example, your currency choice may not be remembered).
6. Third-party services
Some sub-processors we rely on (for example Cloudflare for hosting and security, and Stripe on checkout pages) may set their own strictly necessary cookies to deliver and secure their functionality. These are described, along with our full sub-processor list, in our Data Processing Addendum.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, a notice on the site.
