Frequently asked questions

What does the AI-readability score measure?

It measures the controllable, on-site technical signals that let AI assistants read and cite a site: schema.org structured data, content that loads without JavaScript, robots.txt access for AI bots, llms.txt, sitemap.xml, title and meta description, and HTTPS. It does not query any AI model — it is purely the technical readiness layer.

How is this different from the full CitePulse audit?

This checker scores whether AI assistants *can* read your site. The full audit additionally asks Perplexity, Gemini and GPT-4o real buying questions to measure whether they actually *do* cite you, and who is recommended instead.

Is the score the same as the Certified AI-Ready standard?

Yes — the score uses the CAIRS v1 control points. A site scoring 90 or above is eligible for Certified AI-Ready status.
